Founding
GSA was founded to unite fragmented shea value-chain stakeholders under one alliance, starting with a handful of processor and collector cooperatives.
2011–2023
Growth & Collaboration
Membership expanded across West Africa and into international markets, formalizing governance structures and launching the Action for Shea Parklands initiative.
Today
A Global Alliance
849 members across 36 countries, four active technical working committees, and a growing footprint in sustainability, quality, and market access programs.
